Christ, Christian Life

What’s in Your Closet?

We’ve had some fairly meaty posts lately, so I wanted to wrap up this week on a little lighter note.  With the cooler weather lately, some folks might be ready to changeover to the Autumn wardrobe.  (I know my wife is.)  The scripture below reminded me of changing over the wardrobe, as did the comic, natch.  Enjoy.  Christ is all and in all.

But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.  Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him — a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all. ~ Colossians 3:8-11 (emphasis mine)

You don’t need magical powers for a spiritual wardrobe changeover.  Lay aside the old self – an it – and put on the new self – a who.  Put on Christ, and allow Him to handle the changeover.  It will go much simpler that way. 🙂

Have a great weekend!
