He is not now content with only thinking of the imputed righteousness as his robe; but, putting on Jesus Christ, and seeking to be wrapped up in, to be clothed upon with Himself and His Life, he feels how completely the righteousness of God is his, because the Lord our Righteousness is his.
I am amazed at how small my grasp is on what we truly have in Christ Jesus. The Father has put everything in His Son and then, has offered this very Son to us. He has withheld nothing from us. Giving us His very Righteousness as He gives us all of Himself.
What blessed relief that the righteousness given isn’t something apart from Him that I must maintain. It is no less than He, Himself, and I can simply abide.
