God Cannot Do This (Answer)
For the two of you who were willing to put yourselves out there trying to answer the riddle – thank you. And you were wrong. 🙂
My answer when I first heard this: A bus driver always sees another bus driver, a shepherd sometimes sees another shepherd, but will never see another God. I was right in principle, but I couldn’t think of the one word. Specifically, that one word that begins with a “c”.
A bus driver always sees another bus driver (a colleague), a shepherd sometimes sees another shepherd (a colleague), but outside of the Godhead, God will never see another god (a colleague).
Again, thanks for playing. Now, on to today’s post.
What is a selfie? Dictionary.com defines the word as a photograph that one takes of oneself with a digital camera or a front-facing smartphone, tablet, or webcam, especially for posting on a social-networking or photo-sharing website.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. ~ Genesis 1:26-27
In other words, God said, “Let Us take a selfie.”
Then God went and perfected the selfie. Well, He did.

He is the image of the invisible God… ~ Colossians 1:15
For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him… ~ Colossians 1:19
In other words, Jesus is God’s true selfie.
Then Jesus wanted to take a selfie, too. Well, He did.

Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:49
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory… ~ 2 Corinthians 3:18
In other words, the Church is Jesus’ selfie.
So, the next time you take a selfie, remember who invented the selfie. Then remember that mug looking in the camera is a part of Jesus’ selfie. 😉
