“But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.” ~ Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:13
This week, we’d like to take some time out to give thanks to God for some dearly beloved brethren and sistren. Today, I desire to lift up a couple of brethren with whom I’ve had the privilege and grace to be built together into the Lord’s House. I love these guys, and they write some pretty cool stuff.
What I do know about the man, however, is that he is after God’s own heart. He is in love with Jesus and has been captured by God’s eternal purpose. He is a son of the Most High, a holy one, a saint. He is a man of few words, but he isn’t afraid to use them when needed. An avid reader, Mark is consistently willing to be open to whatever the Lord has for him. He is a dear brother, and we miss getting to see him and his sweet family on a regular basis.
Mark’s blog is called Experiencing Christ, and he writes some beautiful insights into the Lord and His Church. Please click on the link to his blog in the previous sentence, or specifically check out two of my favorite posts of his below:
Thank you, Lord, for Mark. I am grateful for his love and passion for You and Your Bride. You are his Strength, his Joy, and his Life. Open his eyes to see more of You. Amen.
The second brother I’d like to mention is Marc “Stag Chili” Hardy. Now, there is a story about that name, but I won’t get into it here. He is a big LOTR fan; however, that has nothing to do with the name.
Marc is another one of those after God’s own heart. He was in seminary, training to be a pastor, when he was derailed by the Lord and moved across the country to be built together with some saints in Florida. He is a saint, a son, and a holy one. He is in love with the Lord and His Family. Like Mark (with a ‘k’), Marc (with a ‘c’) is an avid learner and is open to the Lord and His leading. He has a M.A. in Theological Studies, a B.A. in Christian Ministry, and a B.S. in Theological Christian Board Games.
In between classes for nursing school, Marc blogs over at The Unexpected Journey. He, too, has beautiful and unique insights into the Lord and His Church. I encourage you to check out his blog. Here are a couple of my favorite posts of his:
Thank you, Lord, for Marc. His love and pursuit of You are real and inspiring. You are his Wisdom, his Understanding, and his Occupation. Open his eyes to see more of You. Amen.
We hope you enjoy reading these brothers as much as we do. We’ve enjoyed getting to know them personally, and it is cool to see how the Lord gets His way in their lives.
Have a great week!
