A friend reminded me the other day just how frequently Jesus asked questions. This was common among teachers of his day and culture; and so it was suggested that if Jesus in the flesh were to sit down and talk, its likely he would start by asking a question. This intrigued me, so the next day I had some time and asked him (Jesus, not my friend) what he would ask me.
I then thought of the word “brontosaurus.” While this wasn’t in the form of a question, I assumed it was from him, so I went with it.
Background: generally I don’t believe in evolution, although I don’t really care. I can see it being true, or I can see it being false. It doesn’t really effect my life in the least, so I’m okay with the ambiguity.
at this point in the post, I kept trying to compose what my response to this subject was and then discuss it, but whenever I tried, it always seemed clunky and just didn’t sit right with me. So I think this is what I’m supposed to write…
This wasn’t the question/subject I expected, so here is my recommendation: why don’t YOU try this the next time you’re with the Lord? If your experience is anything like mine, it won’t go the way you expect it to.
Have fun 🙂
